The new Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome movie follows a young William Adama during the first Cylon war, and will finally premiere on YouTube, November 9 – before it appears on the Syfy channel in early 2013.  The prequel will air as ten 7-12 minute episodes on YouTube (Machinima channel) on Friday nights over the span of four weeks.  The full two-hour pilot will air on Syfy in 2013. This will be followed by a home video release.

According to Entertainment Weekly:

“Luke Pasqualino (UK’s Skins) will star as the ambitious Galactica pilot, who finds himself at odds with weary co-captain Coker (Ben Cotton, Alcatraz). “Like Starz’ Spartacus, the series uses ‘virtual set’ CGI technology that adds more expansive and spectacular backdrops than possible in a convention production.”
