Nokia Lumia 920Did we hear Tim Cook correctly? The iPhone 5 has the “world’s most advanced smartphone display”? Seems as if Mr. Cook forgot about Windows 8-based Nokia Lumia 920.

The iPhone 5 has an 1136 x 640 resolution display while the Lumia 920 has an even more impressive 1280 x 768 resolution display with 332PPI vs. iPhone’s measly 326PPI. If you like bigger screens (and most geeks do) then the Lumia 920’s 4.5 in tops the iPhone 5’s 4 incher too . And performance? The Lumia’s 9 millisecond response time compared to the iPhone’s 23 millisecond response time pretty much says it all.

Add in Lumia’s Clear Black Display technology (adds a polarizing layer to cut down reflections) and brighter display (600 nits vs. Apple’s 569 nits) and it’s pretty obvious that Cook is fudging a bit when he makes extravagant iPhone 5 display claims.
