LG Optimus G smartphoneLG will be releasing its latest flagship device, a quad-core beast, in October 2012.  The Optimus G sports a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro (the first mobile device to offer a quad-core processor) clocked at a 1.5GHz.  A whopping 2GB RAM, 32GB storage (expandable via SD) and a Adreno 320 GPU should push the device to blistering speeds. It will feature a 4.7 in 1280 x 768 True HD display.  It will also include LTE and NFC, 13 megapixel rear-facing camera (1080p video), 1.3 MP front-facing camera, and a 2,100mAh battery (will it allow sufficient battery life after powering that quad-core processor?).  The phone will ship with LG’s modified version of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (huh?) and will feature several utility applications such as QSlide (lets you view two applications side-by-side), Dual Screen Dual Play (mirror output to TV via HDMI while viewing something else on your phone), and the ability to snap a photo when a customized keyword is spoken aloud (e.g. say “cheese”).
