J.J. Abrams is teaming up with Alfonso Cuaron (Children of Men, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban) to develop a fantasy drama series for NBC television (they have a pilot production commitment). The story will be about “a girl in possession of a great gift/powers — which will come into their own in seven years — and the man who is sprung from prison to protect her from those trying to hunt her down.” The show will be produced by Warner Bros. and Abrams’ Bad Robot (Fringe, Revolution) and is currently untitled.
