Andrew Moore photography shows eerie decay of Detroit city

It looks like something out of The Walking Dead. Detroit, a U.S. city that is decaying before our eyes, looks like its habitants simply vanished into thin air leaving behind a magnificent city that now resembles a war zone. No longer the Motor City of boom-time industry, the city of Detroit has fallen into an incredible state of dilapidation.

The work of New York photographer, Andrew Moore, is well known (even if you don’t know the name, you’ve seen his pictures on the covers of prominent magazine publications). Moore has published a book, titled “Detroit Disassembled”, containing a photographic journey called “ruin porn”, where he shows the stark contrast between the Detroit of old, and the modern day “dead” version of the city.
