Viral video – high school student points out the obvious to teacher after being asked to leave classroom

// May 9th, 2013 // Entertainment News

Reminiscent of Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Spicoli, and Mr. Hand the lazy paycheck-collector, video of a Texas high school student being asked to leave the class has gone viral but not because the incident was funny but rather because it appears that the student may have given the teacher a valid lesson – or at least his personal opinion of public education and a teacher’s responsibility to the students is right on the money.  In the video, a Duncanville High School student (“Jeff”) is seen walking from the back of the class towards the door while ranting at the teacher (identified as “Mrs. Phung”) for not taking her job seriously.

“I’m telling you what you need to do. You want kids to come into your class? You want them to get excited for this? You gotta come in here and make them excited. You want a kid to change and start doing better? You gotta touch his freakin’ heart. You gotta take this job serious – this is the future of this nation.”
