Big ISPs want to kill net neutrality - take action now

Net Neutrality, the principle that Internet operations should be free of government and big business control, is the fundamental precursor to free speech. On July 12, websites, Internet users, and hackers across the country will sound the alarm about the federal government’s newly invigorated attack on net neutrality. Websites will display “spinning wheel of death” and faux “blocked” modal alerts while Internet users will bombard forums and comment sections with pleas to keep net neutrality rules in place. The importance of Net Neutrality

The FCC’s reclassification of broadband as a Title II carrier service prohibits ISPs from blocking or throttling traffic in exchange for payment and requires their practices and rates be “just and reasonable”. This ensures all Internet users and website operators share Internet traffic equally with no government or big business restrictions.  At the hands of US President Donald Trump and Chairman Ajit Pai (a former Verizon attorney), net neutrality rules are dangerously close to being rolled back.
